Welcome to Vokalex PDF OCR. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using our website and services. By accessing or using Scanned2pdf, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Scanned2pdf provides the following services:

PDF OCR translation services
PDF splitting and merging
Password recovery for ZIP, RAR and PDF files
QR code generation

3. User Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate information as required for service delivery
Use our services only for lawful purposes
Not upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
Not upload content that contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Not attempt to reverse engineer or bypass any security measures

4. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Scanned2pdf, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, are owned by Vokalex PDF OCR and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to your content that you upload to our service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

5. Data Retention

We automatically delete all uploaded documents after 30 days. We only retain email addresses in our database for service delivery purposes. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

6. Payment Terms

For paid services:

All prices are listed in EUR and are final
Vokalex PDF OCR is a Kleinunternehmen under German law and is exempt from VAT
Payment is required before service completion and delivery
We accept payment through the methods specified on our payment page

7. Refund Policy

Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

If our service fails to perform the advertised function
If you are charged multiple times for the same service

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scanned2pdf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or in connection with your use of or inability to use our services.

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gives rise to the claim.

Password Recovery Services: We provide password recovery tools on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee successful recovery of passwords for all files. The service fee is for the attempted recovery, not guaranteed success.

9. Disclaimers

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vokalex PDF OCR, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of Bayreuth, Germany.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
